Despite its sleepy appearance, Fort Walton Beach is home to some of the best known restaurants along the Gulf Coast, and holds an Arts and Crafts Festival every November and April. The city’s tourist population, especially in the winter months, is one of its greatest assets. The Eastern side of Fort Walton Beach features canals or frontage on the Intracoastal Waterway.
